Dr. Bender earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Susquehanna University, graduating with honors in 2001. She then received her Doctorate of Optometry (Summa Cum Laude) from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2005. After graduation, Dr. Bender pursued ocular disease residency at the Delaware Veteran’s Administration Medical Center. During her residency, she obtained specialized training in the treatment and management of ocular diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.
